Zion National Park....The Narrows

Every year since my dad was a kid we have been going to Zion over the 4th of July to celebrate the Durfey reunion. I have missed 4 years because of being in KY and having NO money. This year I decided I was going no matter what. It was nice to see so many family members and have them meet my kids.

Country Fest
Here are some pictures of fun times at South Jordan's Country Fest. The girls had a really good time. I think that it helped that Aunt Heather had some fun treats for the girls since she was in charge of the Fest:)

Camping trip gone awry. Here are the precious few pictures at Yellowstone. After being sick, and the girls threw up 3 times...we bailed to Ben's parents house early. There we finished our sickness and throwing ups.

Ben says we are never going camping again. So I guess we will see what happens. I must admit I was very cold and it was hard to deal with the kids how were sick so I am not really excited to go again soon either:)

So much has happened. Let's just do a short run down.
This is us leaving our house in Kentucky. I try not to think too much about it because I would start to cry.









This is on our way over to Utah.... a stop at Nauvoo. We had a good time there. We definitely did not see every thing but we saw many things and we had fun with the girls. Elizabeth just HAD to go get brick on Sunday before we left.














This is us at Winter Quarter. We spend 1 1/2 days in Omaha as we had some trouble with the truck.

There is NO pictures in Cheyenne. Not because we didn't like it we just didn't do anything but sleep there and get up the next morning and leave for Utah.






This is a picture of Maryanne's room. I like it the most because we had nasty cat peed on carpet and look out the floor turned out after we ripped up the carpet and sand, buffered, and painted the floor (I might add I did it 3 times)

So we are now in Utah.

Leaving Kentucky

I am not sure what to think. I have so many feelings about leaving Kentucky. It has been so great to be here. So many friends...so many great places to visit...so many good times.

There is just something about moving that seems nostalgic, excited, sad.

I am really, really going to miss this place.

Bountiful Utah

Bountiful here we come.

We are excited our first house is going to be ours in about 2 weeks!!!

This is the front. I would show you the inside but it was really dirty because some one was moving out so I will show it to you when it looks nice!

So this is our family before the graduation. Notice how every one is happy:)

It was a good day for our family. We are proud of all we have done. Ben also got white cords for graduating "with distiction" which means he had a GPA of 3.5

It is a good end to the good times here.

Good Bye Kentucky

I have thought lots about my time here in KY. An experience I would not change. It was hard, fun, sad, happy, everything all rolled into one. but most of the time is was happy and fun.

I am glad I am leaving with a happy heart with good memories. I am glad we went on all of the trips and saw all of the sights.

I am glad we went to the parties and had fun with lots of friends.

And now as they all say... this is the end of this chapter.

Going to Utah

I am off to Utah to look for a house. Wish me all of the luck.
We are really moving I guess.
